Fun Fall Day.....

My family made a surprise trip to Columbus to see us on Sunday, and it was the most perfect day. It was about 70 degrees outside and the leaves were falling, which was ideal for pumpkin carving. My mom and sister along with myself showed Emerie how much fun it is to carve pumpkins, however, she was not such a fan of the slimy insides. She liked showing us all the chunks of pumpkin along with tasting the seeds.

Poppy's Pumpkin Patch..

On Sunday we went to Poppy's Pumpkin Patch in Norfolk. Our amazing neighbors invited us and Emerie especially loves spending time with their little girls :) As Tyson is busy working on a pickup, my brother volunteered to go with us and I think it's safe to say he had a good time. We got their early in the morning to avoid the crowd which was so great as we seemed to have the whole place to ourselves. They even give the kids 5 and under a free pumpkin to take home.

These pigs were so funny, they loved the attention and were constantly following us around the pen!

 

This melted my heart, Emerie and the baby goat had a special little moment, complete with her talking to him.

They even had deer that were kept in a little barn, the baby was so small.

 

This might have been one of the slowest slides ever. I ended up having to get off halfway and push us down with my legs. I was so tired afterward.

Pigtails

We are now wearing pigtails. Granted they stick up really straight but she still gets plenty of compliments on her cuteness with them! People tell me that she looks like Boo off of Monsters Inc.

 

 

I guess I can kind of see the resemblance :)

 

Bath girl...

We especially love bath time now as I have gotten rid of the fisher price baby bath tub. My little girl is growing up too fast and now insists on sitting in the big bath all by herself. However I do have to remind her constantly to sit on her behind and that the shiny faucet is not a toy. Right now she loves it when I fill her suirty toys up so she can squeeze them and shoot water in her face.

Happy Birthday Baby!!

We had Emeries birthday party on Saturday the 21st of September. It was such a fun day, and to watch your child get as excited as Emerie did, makes it the best day in your own books as well :) We have so many awesome family and friends to be thankful for, especially those that wished her a Happy Birthday, helped us celebrate at her party, gave her gifts and sent her gifts. So many pictures were taken that day (huge shout out/thank you to Aunt Sonya) but included are a few of my favorites :)

I put my craftiness to use, because Ty would have not been happy with the $40 banner purchase from Etsy.

 

We rented a bouncy house from a couple in Columbus and had it for about 6 hours. It provided a lot of fun and entertainment.

 

Emerie really enjoyed the bouncy house as well!

I love our little family to pieces.....my life revolves around these two and I wouldn't change it for anything...

 

She didn't quite know what to think of everyone singing to her. She did dance a little too!

Overall the day was amazing and great memories were made! Thank you again to everyone who helped make it extra special for the birthday girl!

Cousins...

Emerie loves her cousins. We had a great time this summer when the Wagoner clan spent one weekend with us and the Rasmussen spent another. She adores her cousins and especially loves having them here.

Smell the flowers.....

Emerie loves flowers, especially the wildflowers that I planted for the first time that turned out so beautiful. I am not surprised about her love for flowers, because her third word besides "mama" and "dada" was "pretty".

Columbus Days Baby Contest...

Emerie participated in the Columbus Days "I'm a little cutie" Baby Contest. I could not believe how many babies took part. Emerie was in the 7-12 month age division along with many others. She didn't place but she really was a smiley girl and I think she had fun :)
