Happy Baby!

I have become a lot better at recognizing when our little sweet pea needs a nap. After her naps she is the happiest babe on the block!!

Fall

Tyson has been very busy raking leaves and getting the yard ready for Winter. Yesterday was one of the nicer days we have had, even though it was still in the low 60's. I tried to get Emerie strapped in her Ergo only for her to scream the entire time. It is very obvious when she is ready to take a nap as I just put her in her swing and seconds later she was asleep. It gave me a chance to take my new camera outside to play around. The pets proved to be pretty good models for me!

New Camera

I finally invested in a new canon rebel t3 in hopes of capturing better pictures than I was getting with my regular digital camera. Let's just say that I wish I would have gotten this camera a long time ago! With Emerie in our lives I wanted to have a good quality camera to capture her precious moments and I know I made the right choice. I have been playing around with the camera and have noticed a huge difference in the picture quality and I am having loads more fun taking pictures! So here is to more blog posts with better pictures!!

Go Huskers!!

Now that I have Emerie I have become overly obsessed with Etsy. From the girly headbands to the adorable onsies, I could spend a fortune on decking out my little princess. My latest purchase was this simple little Nebraska onsie so our toot had something to wear for game day.

One Month Old

Our sweet Emerie was one month old on Thursday the 18th (I know I am a little behind posting this). We are looking forward to her two month checkup in November to see how our little sweet pea is growing.

I continue to be amazed at her everyday with her new sounds and expressions. She currently gets excited when we make noises with her teddy bear in front of her face. She wakes up every morning with a smile and she loves bath time. She continues to get longer as her onsies are tight length wise however remain a little large around her body. I guess we have a skinny tall girl on our hands!

"Oh but I like your funny noises!"

Pink Clothes..

Although Emerie is growing very fast :( she is still wearing mostly newborn clothes. Since Tyson and I decided not to find out the gender we bought everything gender neutral. Ever since I brought her home she has been wearing "boyish" clothes with pink socks. I can't get myself to break down and by girl newborn clothes when I know she will be out of them shortly.

My mom and sister came to stay with me and spend some time with Emerie while Tyson traveled back to Wood River for some birthday festivities. Aunt Taylor had fun trying some pink clothes on our sweet little girl. So here's to girl clothes....finally!

The 3 month onsies are still plenty large, however our pink pants fit perfect!!

Blessed Baptism

On October 14th our baby girl was baptized at our new church here in town. It was a beautiful day and such a wonderful celebration. Tyson and I have found a wonderful church home here in Columbus. After the baptism, everyone came to our house to enjoy lunch and cake. Now Emerie can officially celebrate her baptism birthday every year on October 14th!

Thank you to everyone who helped us celebrate!!

Life with Emerie....

Tyson and I are so in love with our new addition. We were truly blessed with an angel and we are loving our new roles as mom and dad. Emerie has changed so much already in the three and a half weeks we have had her. Her doctor is very impressed with her alertness and strength (which I can validate after carrying her for nine months!).

I am enjoying every second I get to spend with her daily. She has also been setting her own schedule which just so happens to be working out great! She is usually sleeping by 11:30 each night and waking up at 5:00 in the morning to eat followed by 2-3 more hours of sleeping. I have been snapping pictures like crazy in order to capture every little expression in our sweet pea's face. However, I included only a few below. We also took our first walk around the subdivision yesterday in our new ERGO which has proven to be the best purchase thus far!
