Mother's Day 2013

Here's to my first Mother's Day! Motherhood is truly the best gift from God. I strive to be the best mom I can be, I may never be a perfect mom in others eyes but as long as I am in my daughters I am happy. Emerie brings out the best in me and my love for her is overwhelming. Little gifts like these from daycare make me swoon:)

Pretty piggies...

One of the girls who takes care of Emerie at Daycare painted her toenails and I must say she has some pretty piggies now. They have always been precious though :) She said the key to getting Emerie to sit still was just to blow on her feet and it put her in a trance-like-state.

I could kiss on these little toes all day...

Outside fun..

Emerie and I had some outdoor fun today, and of course the animals had to join in too. She really loves being outside. If she is not distracted by the birds or the dogs she sits contently and plays with her toys. I really love being a mom to this little nugget....

Of course the cat wanted to lay on the blanket.

These two are best buddies. Jesse will not let any of the other pets near Emerie as she wants her all to herself. Enjoy it now Jesse while she can't run away from you.

Did I mention that we have a tooth poking through on the bottom and it's as sharp as a razor blade!

Oh silly puppy!

Just a view of our yard that needs mowed terribly...I love Spring

Concentration

Such concentration with those tiny hands.....

"If I could just get it into my mouth.....

...oh now I got it...

..hi mom, I didn't know you were watching me..

wooops..I got too excited...

...Yep, I am the greatest!"

CSC Graduation

Last weekend we made the long six and a half hour trip to Chadron to watch my brother graduate from Chadron State College. Emerie did very well to my surprise! We made two stops on the way to Chadron, once to eat lunch and another to stretch our legs and change a blowout (diaper). We spent Friday night in Chadron and Clint showed us the downtown bar scene on Friday night while my mom watched Emmy. Saturday morning we attended his graduation ceremony in which Emerie fell asleep for the majority of it. After we finished an amazing lunch, Tyson, I and Em headed to Cody, NE to see Jeremy and Dawnielle Strong and their adorable kiddos. It was a lot of fun to visit with them and see their neck of the woods! We returned home on Sunday and poor Emerie was ready  to be home and made that very clear when we went through Norfolk! It was such a fun weekend and I am so proud of my brother. Clint you are a very special person and I am so happy that you are beginning a new adventure in your life. I am very proud to call you my brother and best friend.

The proud graduate!

Emerie was having great time people watching

Not the greatest family picture, but we did get one. Notice Emerie's bead head on the right side from when she fell asleep during the ceremony.

DIY

I have become a huge fan of DIM lately (Doing it Myself)....

Although I only have one project completed, I have so many more on my list. It is just a matter of getting the time, motivation, and materials and I will be crossing them off one by one. I find it more fun to sit down and make Emmy headbands :)

My completed project right now is this ever so simple but classy wreath for our front door.

I will promise future posts on my completed projects in hopes it will keep me on the ball!
