6 months old..

Our sweet Emmy turned six months old a week ago, which came entirely to fast...

I also have discovered that Emerie is more afraid of her doctor than her shots. She remains a skinny, lengthy baby and is in the 15% for her weight and 65% for her height.

She loves her blankets, puppies, and talking. Everyday she surprises us both.

Baby Food...

Emerie got the go ahead from her doctor at her four month checkup to start cereal and then start baby food at 5 1/2 months. I started with the rice cereal which she was not a fan of, so we quickly switched to oatmeal which she LOVES. She has been eating oatmeal now twice daily for about three weeks. I was hesitant to start baby food but on Monday we tried green beans. If I would have caught Emerie's reaction on video I would have gotten in trouble with authorities for child abuse. She shook and gagged and turned bright red. Needless to say we might not have a green bean eater on our hands, but I am not giving up that easy. She did eat it when mixed with her oatmeal :) On Thursday I gave her sweet peas. She didn't love them but she didn't hate them. She ended up eating much more than the green beans and I didn't have to mix them with cereal. I now know why her doctor wanted us to start with the yucky green stuff and introduce fruits last.

Grandma's Helpers

Emerie and I spent four days in Wood River to help out my mom after her surgery. Although she could not hold her, Emerie did provide my mom with some quality cuddle time. We are both excited for her to make a full recovery so we can have our grandma back :)

Emerie will be an animal lover like her mom and dad. She has really taken notice to her own puppies Cope and Jesse, and now my sisters cat Sweetie. I don't think this cat knows what is coming once Emerie is mobile, she may want to lose some weight so she is a little faster.

Uncle Clint was home visiting and helping as well. Him and Emerie love to do the airplane.

My dad started his calving season and I wanted to check out the new babies. Upon my arrival to the barn I noticed this fresh baby. His cows are such good mommas.

Emerie was more concerned about where Cash (dog) was while I was trying to get a decent picture.

Cheering up Grandma!

Such sweet little peanut!!

Baby Blue

Our little baby blue....and our whole world.....

It is very obvious that Emerie inherited her daddy's blue eyes. I also see a lot of his mannerisms in her already. Please stop growing up so fast baby girl....
