7 Months....

Emerie turned 7 months old last Thursday. She is now sitting up by herself and rolling around on the floor to get her toys (not close to crawling yet). She still doesn't have any teeth, but is LOVING food!! She loves all fruits and vegetables except for green beans. She is still a very long skinny baby who is getting hard to find clothes for!

She constantly has her legs up like this, even while sleeping...

My two favorite people and my whole world.

Favorite picture...

I am in love with this picture of Emerie.....

Friday was Tyson's birthday so we went to El Tapatio (our favorite Mexican spot in town) to celebrate. Emerie is really great when we go out to eat, so she came along with. the waitresses thought Emerie was a doll and ours offered to walk around with her while we finished our food. They even brought Tyson free fried ice cream dessert and sang him Happy Birthday. The three of us had a really great low key night as a little family :)

Milestones...

Emerie is now sitting up on her own without the help of her bumbo or boppy. She does take a few spills here and there but is doing a really great job! She is also swatting around with her hands and now enjoys hitting her hands against anything that will make loud noises, she will also look at me right away to see what my response will be.

She gets so many compliments on her beautiful blue eyes..

Sitting up like a big girl on the couch (with me close by of course)...

Naked baby...

Emerie loves to roll around in her diaper only....and I let her, because there will come a time when no clothing is NOT an option. She might as well enjoy it while she can, as long as it doesn't come back to bite us in the butt when she is taking her clothes off at daycare or elsewhere...

Notice how there isn't a whole lot of rolls on this string bean....finding clothes is proving to be a challenge..

Easter

Emerie's first Easter was a fun one!! We decided to make a day trip back to Wood River to celebrate with family after we went to Easter service at our church here in Columbus. Church went well for the first half hour as Emerie was content people watching and listening to the music, and then she found her vocal cords. She proceeded to "talk" in a very high pitched voice for awhile but luckily our church is very tolerant with children and there are plenty of spaces to walk around outside of service. We drove back to Wood River after church to my Grandma's house where we celebrated with Easter lunch and then ended with supper at the Wagoner's. It was a fun first Easter with our little peanut! It's hard to believe that next year she will actually be able to hunt Easter eggs. While I look forward to that, it also makes me sad because the time is just going too fast. They just don't stay little for long enough.

Pretty little doll in her Easter dress, and she did have a headband but she is easily finding things to pull off. FYI she is really great at posing for pictures..

Opening Easter presents, which included clothes, a peeping chick, a hopping chick, socks, stuffed animals, and a book. (I am going to start running out of room for everything)
